Everyday care

Wellness and preventive care
Annual wellness exams evaluate your pet's overall health, detect problems before they become serious, and keep them on track to live a long, healthy life.
Vaccinations
Preventative care is an important aspect of maintaining your pet's health, and proper vaccination is vital in protecting them against harmful diseases.
Dentistry
Annual dental exams and cleanings are recommended to protect your pet from many health problems and to help them maintain a healthy, clean mouth.
Diagnostics and surgery
Diagnostic ultrasound
An ultrasound is a highly useful tool when evaluating heart conditions, internal organs, cysts and tumors. We are also equipped for routine radiography and in-house laboratory testing.
Surgery
Surgery is not going to be required for every health problem your pet may face, but there are conditions for which it is the best possible course of action.
Spay and neuter
Spaying or neutering your pet can help them live a longer, healthier life, minimize behaviour problems, and help control the population of unwanted dogs and cats.

I took my cat Peppa to the vet today! She is not the youngest and very timid. What a great experience from the personnel in reception to the awesome vet. My Peppa was super comfortable and seemed to enjoy the little adventure of getting out the house! For any anxious pet parents they are great.
I've been a patient of Burnside vet for 9.5 years now and genuinely can't speak highly enough of Dr. Miriam. She's patient and thorough and makes sure you understand the info you're receiving even if it's a minor appointment like an annual exam.
Inquired last week about annual exams and yearly vaccines and was given a Saturday schedule. She is very gentle, knowledgeable and compassionate. She was able to get Oakley his shots without any hesitations.
